Helping Make-A-Wish Enhance its Vast Volunteer Network

For the Make-A-Wish Foundation and its chapters, granting wishes doesn't just happen. It takes a great deal of effort and organization from its thousands of Wish Granters and Volunteers. Lava New Media has worked with Make-A-Wish on numerous collaborations throughout its ten year history. The latest: WishNet. A volunteer portal customized for individual Make-A-Wish chapters. The first of these has recently launched for the Make-A-Wish Connecticut chapter. These volunteer portals significantly help this collaboration and organization effort. Volunteers can sign up for opportunities, Wish Granters can apply for managing Wish Kids’ wishes and Make-A-Wish themselves can seamlessly communicate with any member of the portal.

In the near future, more of these volunteer portals will be launching for additional chapters across the country. These volunteer portals will include even more user groups as well as additional functionality specific to each chapter’s very unique needs.
